React vs Next.js for Business Websites
React is a library. Next.js is an opinion about how that library should meet the web. Here is when that opinion helps.

React does not ship a website
React renders interfaces. You still need routing, rendering strategy, metadata and a way to deploy. A Vite React app can be perfect for an internal tool. It is a weaker default for a public marketing site that must be indexed.
What Next.js adds that businesses usually want
File-based routes, metadata APIs, image optimization, and the option to render commercial pages on the server. That combination is why so many company sites use it — including this one.
When you should not use either
A tiny brochure that a marketer must edit daily might be happier on a mature CMS. Do not choose a framework to impress other developers if the owner cannot publish a blog post.
The team is the constraint
The best stack is the one your maintainers understand. Next.js helps when you want React and a serious public web. It is not a moral improvement over HTML.
